Speaker: Rory Heffel, Teck Resources Ltd.

Rory received his degree in mechanical engineering at the University of Alberta and started as a mechanical design engineer for various industries. In 2013, he joined Teck as an engineer working on tailings, water and energy projects, all while enthusiastically working on carbon reduction technology initiatives. Decarbonization became his full-time role in 2020, where he leads the evaluation of Teck’s portfolio of initiatives for achieving its Climate Change Goals.
